Inaugural Lecture - “Entrepreneurship Between Resilience and Change.”
Last week, the Jackstädt Center, together with the Universidad del Norte (Colombia) and the Schumpeter School of Business & Economics at the University of Wuppertal, hosted the second Research School on Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
The event was organized by Prof. Dr. Jana Schmutzler de Uribe (Universidad del Norte) and Prof. Dr. Werner Bönte (University of Wuppertal, Deputy Chairman of the Jackstädt Center).
International guests and speakers from Colombia, India, Ukraine, and Germany presented current research findings on the topics of female entrepreneurship, inclusive entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
The morning program featured presentations such as
“Invisible Walls: How Social Stratification Shapes Exclusionary Dynamics in an Emerging Entrepreneurial Ecosystem” (Prof. Dr. Jana Schmutzler de Uribe)
“Women's Entrepreneurship in Wartime Ukraine: Challenges, Transformations, and Prospects” (Prof. Dr. Yuliia Kostynets)
“Entrepreneurship in India” (Prof. Dr. Ruchi Sharma)
“Women Entrepreneurship in Science” (Rossitza Ivanova, M.Sc.)
were the focus of attention. In the afternoon, practice-oriented workshops were held for young researchers, including
“Qualitative Research Methods in Entrepreneurship Research” (Prof. Dr. Julia de Groote)
“Doing Fieldwork in Difficult and Complex Conditions” (Prof. Dr. Patricia Marquez).
