On June 13, 2025, the Faculty of Economics – Schumpeter School of Business and Economics at the University of Wuppertal awarded the Schumpeter School Prize to Prof. Saras D. Sarasvathy.

Prof. Saras D. Sarasvathy is a professor of entrepreneurship at the University of Virginia and is one of the world's most influential researchers in the field of entrepreneurial thinking. With the development of the theory of effectuation, she has significantly shaped the understanding of entrepreneurial decision-making processes. Her work is considered groundbreaking and has received numerous international awards.

The award was presented in recognition of her outstanding achievements. The award ceremony was part of an extensive program featuring various research presentations. Inspiring contributions came from:
